At Asia Inspirations we get to put together all sorts of incredible itineraries, but every so often we get to do something extra special. At the moment, tailormade consultant Flora is working on one of our coolest itineraries to date. Take a look:
Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo.
Day 2: Embark on ‘The Future is Tokyo’ full day tour, including the Museum of Emerging Science, Mega Web (giant Toyota showroom), the Panasonic Centre and finally Akihabara, the district that has become Tokyo’s Electric Town, and an area famous for manga, anime and gaming.
Day 3: Tokyo Go-Karting. Already sound good? You get to do it dressed as the Super Mario Kart character of your choice! You are guided through the streets of Tokyo by an expert guide, seeing the landmarks as you go.
Day 4: Tokyo Disneyland. Enough said.
Day 5: Day at leisure – needed after all the excitement of the past few days!
Day 6: Travel to Kanazawa – a city of great historical and cultural significance, including what is considered Japan’s most beautiful garden – Kenrokuen.
Day 7: Kanazawa – enjoy a full day tour with a local guide, including the Nagamachi Samurai district and Kanazawa’s geisha districts.
Day 8: Travel to Kyoto by bullet train – the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 9: Kyoto Backstreet Bike Ride – a local guide will lead you through the backstreets of the Miyagawacho and Gion districts of Kyoto. Keep an eye out for geisha!
