China For The Foodie

Food is a gateway into the culture of a nation, and in China, where every province has its own style of cooking, spicing and ingredients, this is particularly poignant. For the adventurous eater who’ll taste anything there are plenty of exciting delicacies to keep you taste buds tingling.

This quick itinerary, themed for those who love their food, features some of our foodie highlights and gives you an idea of the places to visit in each destination:

China For The Foodie Itinerary

  • Days 1-2 : Depart UK and arrive in Shanghai.
  • Days 3-4 : Explore Shanghai. Start the day with the breakfast tour, which you can follow up with visits to The Bund, Old Town and Pudong.
  • Days 5-7 : Head up to Beijing. China's capital is a must on any trip to China - why not visit the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven? Oh and a feast of Peking Duck should not be missed.
