This quick itinerary, themed for those who are travelling as a family, features some of our family highlights and gives you an idea of the places to visit in each destination:
These highlights have been specially picked for this themed itinerary:
Rickshaw Ride, Delhi
The streets of Old Delhi are a bustling maze of temples, homes, bazaars and chai shops. Delve right into their vibrant chaos on an exciting rickshaw ride that gives the whole family the chance to see the local people going about their days. You’ll really feel the atmosphere of Delhi’s oldest streets, in a fun and interactive way.
Ranthambore National Park
There are about 40 Bengal Tigers that call the Ranthambore’s untouched jungle home, and as the park is quite small and the tigers easy-going, you have a good chance of spotting one as you pass through on safari. Other wildlife here includes leopards, jackals, sloth bears and a lot of birds.
Pushkar may be known for its huge annual Camel Fair, but you can meet these desert beasts here at any time, and ride them through the surrounding desert! Jog amongst the towering sand dunes and admire the starkly beautiful landscapes of the Thar Desert, where you’ll also get to see desert life as you pass remote communities.
The camps that dot Rajasthan’s desert offers some serious excitement for the whole family. With many camps within easy reach of the major cities, sleeping out in a tent, dining around the camp fire and joining in desert activities is a must – especially when the tents have all the modern conveniences too!
